Lab Express at IRMC is a full-service, outpatient laboratory with four convenient draw sites — two in Vero Beach, one in Sebastian and one in Ft. Pierce. It provides quick and comprehensive service for patients who require laboratory testing and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
The lab is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists to provide a variety of testing and analysis including microbiology. Staffed by seasoned personnel who collectively have more than 300 years of professional experience, Lab Express offers quality service and testing.
Services
Lab Express is the ideal service for people on-the-go. Featuring ample parking, on-site registration, and blood draws complete within minutes, Lab Express' automated computerized system faxes results automatically to ordering physicians. In addition to drawing blood for clients on-site, Lab Express analyzes a large percentage of specimens from local physicians' offices and provides doctors direct access to the only microbiology department in Indian River County.
A doctor's referral is required. Appointments are not necessary. Results are back to your physician usually the same day.

Hours
Lab Express locations at Pointe West, Sebastian and Ft. Pierce are open Monday to Friday from 8 .m. to 4:30 p.m. They are closed noon to 12:30 p.m. for lunch. The hours of operation for Lab Express at the Ambulatory Services Center on the IRMC campus in Vero Beach are Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. During season this location only is open on Saturdays from 8 to 11 a.m.
Location/Directions
Lab Express has draw sites in four locations. One location is in the Ambulatory Services Center building, just past the front entrance of the hospital, on the left (east) side of 'Dr. Hugh McCrystal' Drive. Ample parking is available.
A second draw site is located in Sebastian Medical Suites, located between Walmart and St. Sebastian Church on US 1 in Sebastian. The draw site is located inside the IRMC Walk-In Center, 801 Wellness Way, Suite 107, Sebastian. The phone number for this site is 772.226.4200.
A third draw site is located in the Pointe West Medical Building, 1960 Pointe West Dr., Vero Beach. It is located in the IRMC Walk-In Center - Pointe West. The phone number for this site is 772.226.4250.
A fourth draw site is located at the corner of 25th street in Ft. Pierce at 2502 Quincy Ave. Operating hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number for this site is 772.461.2212.
Billing Options and Insurance
Tests can be billed directly to you, to your insurance company, or in some cases directly to your physician's account. Lab Express accepts all insurance plans currently accepted by IRMC, including Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, etc.
